Your position

Well maintained microscopes are key to perform excellent imaging. In your role you will support the facility standardizing metrology workflows and assist in routine maintenance and quality checks. In this context, you will

  • Acquire standardized images on various systems.
  • Measure light and laser intensity on various microscopes.
  • Perform image analysis.
  • Document the results.

 

Your profile

  • Student (BA/MA) in life sciences in the field of biology, physics, biophysics or a related field with a focus on microscopy.
  • Experience in the field of light microscopy.
  • Experience in image analysis. Programming skills are an advantage.
  • A sense for data handling and management.
  • High degree of motivation and self-reliance combined with excellent organizational and team-work skills.
  • A strong sense for diligence and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, German is an advantage.

The successful candidate will be hired 20% on a temporary University position limited to six months with the option of extension.
